Fertilizer Expansion Planned for Bangladesh, an Industrial Info Market Brief
Industrial Info is tracking five operational fertilizer plants in Bangladesh, one each in five of the country's regions. Among them is Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation's (BCIC) chemical complex in Narsingdi, where the company is planning ammonia and urea unit additions. BCIC signed the project deal with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd (MHI) (Japan) and China National Chemical Engineering No 7 Construction Co Ltd (CC-7) (China) to construct the 528,000-ton-per-year ammonia and 924,000-ton-per-year urea units, which are expected to start operations by 2022.
