Middle East Invests $28 Billion in Fertilizer Projects, an Industrial Info Market Brief

The low cost of natural gas in the Middle East makes the construction of export-oriented fertilizer plants very attractive. The Middle East is one of the largest producers of nitrogen-based fertilizers in the world, and companies continue to invest in various fertilizer projects.

In spite of economic challenges and sanctions, Iran holds the top position, with investments of more than $8.3 billion for 30 projects, followed by Egypt with 27 projects worth more than $6 billion.
