China Chenga Engineering Wins EPC Contract for Russian Chemical Complex, an Industrial Info Market Brief
Russia's Nakhodka fertilizer plant has awarded China Chengda Engineering Company as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor to build a methanol plant which is the part of a new chemical complex in Nakhodka, in Russia's Primorsk region, according to the Chinese news. Upon closing financing, China Chengda Engineering will complete basic/detailed engineering and begin construction in 2021. The plant will produce 1.8 million tons per year of methanol from natural gas. The facility is scheduled to be completed in summer 2023.
The Nakhodka Chemical Complex is a world-scale project. After completion of all stages, the plant will able to produce methanol, ammonia and urea.
