MERALCO's Emergency Capex Awaits Regulatory Approval, an Industrial Info Market Brief
The Philippines' top utility company, Manila Electric Company (MERALCO), is seeking the approval of the Energy Regulatory Commission for the proposed multibillion-pesos emergency capital expenditure planned for 2020. The proposal includes the maintenance of existing assets to sustain reliability, efficiency and power quality. Part of the project also includes the continuation of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure Program, system automation, innovation and technology enhancements.
