Brazil continues to invest in the transportation system sector, which includes inland & Deepwater ports, airports, light rail, commuter rail and freight rail, as well as maintenance facilities, intermodal terminals, interconnects, rail bridges, substations, micro grids and railyards associated with mass-transit systems.
Industrial Info is tracking 479 active projects in Brazil´s transportation system sector, worth more than $31 billion, that are planned to kick off construction in 2020. These include grassroot projects (port terminals, railways), upgrades, expansions and modernizations.
Sao Paulo leads in the number of projects, while Mato Grosso leads in project spending.
