Middle East to See $6.2 in Propylene Project Starts Through Next Year, an Industrial Info Market Brief

The Middle East's Chemical Processing Industry is set to kick off 14 propylene projects with an estimated investment value of more than $6.2 billion from now through 2021. Most of these projects are planned to begin civil construction this year. Click here for a list of projects. These plants will use either propane or methanol as feedstock. The Middle East has been producing propylene via propane dehydrogenation, but in recent years, Iran has increased focus on a new trend of using methanol.
