Despite COVID-19, Mexican Ports Continue Operating, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Mexico's Communications and Transport Ministry will not suspend port operations despite the COVID-19 contingency plan entering Stage Two on March 22. However, the ministry will adopt sanitary measures and international recommendations to prevent the spread of the virus through maritime transport.
The ministry has not announced recent suspensions or cancellation of works on port expansion projects in the 2020-24 national infrastructure program. Industrial Info is tracking more than 280 active projects at Mexican ports and private terminals worth $4.5 billion. Click here for a list.
