Mexico's Pemex Refineries Delay Maintenance Projects, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Mexico

Amid the global COVID-19 crisis, Mexico's Pemex TRI is evaluating its 2020 planned maintenance plans at its refineries. Due to delays in contractor lineups as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and fewer contractors being allowed in the facilities, the company needs to review its original plans to perform the turnarounds. So far, the 270,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Cadereyta Refinery (Ingeniero Hector R Lara Sosa) and 285,000-BBL/d Refineria Lazaro Cardenas (Minatitlan) facilities have reported postponed plans.
