Automotive Parts Production in Mexico's Queretaro State Gradually Resumes, an Industrial Info Market Brief
As demand increases for auto parts and components, plant production will revive in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Renato Villaseñor Mendoza, president of the Querétaro Automotive Cluster, said the reactivation of the sector will be carried out in accordance with global demand.
The revival of the auto industry in Mexico's Querétaro state will be gradual, until it can reach the production levels it had achieved before the arrival of the pandemic. As of June 1, companies in the sector had started operations at 40% capacity, with expectations of reaching between 60% and 70% capacity during the last week of the month.
Industrial Info is tracking 66 operational automotive plants, and 28 active projects in Queretaro, worth $189 million.
