Freight Movement at Brazilian Ports in First-Half 2020 Grows 4.4% from 2019, an Industrial Info Market Brief

According to statistics from the National Aquatic Transportation Agency (ANTAQ), Brazil's public and private ports moved 538 million tons during the first half of 2020, a volume that represents 4.4% growth compared to the same period from the previous year.
Regarding public ports, the Port of Santos achieved the highest mobilization, with a total of 55.7 million tons of cargo, which is 10% growth compared to first-half 2019. The second highest is the Port of Paranaguá, which moved 25.7 million tons, a 13% increase.
For private ports, DP World Santos recorded the highest container mobilization, operating 387,200 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), or a 41% growth from the first half of 2019.
