Nippon Steel Begins Blast Furnace Rebuild in Nagoya, Japan
KOFU, JAPAN--March 29, 2022--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Nippon Steel Corporation (Tokyo, Japan) has begun rebuilding the No. 3 blast furnace of its Nagoya Integrated Steel Mill in Japan. The project has a total investment value (TIV) of $49 billion yen (US$396 million). Construction began January 30 and is planned to take about 130 days; the furnace is planned to reignite in early June.
