Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) recently approved the construction phases for three large thermal power projects: Phase II of the Zhejiang Zheneng Lanxi power plant; Phase II of the Zhejiang Huaneng Yuhuan power plant; and Phase VII of the Yunnan Xuanwei power plant.

Phase II of the Zheneng Lanxi power plant in Shiguan Village in eastern China’s Zhejiang Province will be built by Zheneng Lanxi Power Generation Company Limited, a company jointly invested by Zhejiang Energy Group Company Limited (Zhejiang, China) (64%), Zhejiang Southeast Power Generation Company Limited (Zhejiang, China) (25%), Lanxi Power Development Investment Company Limited (Zhejiang, China) (8%) and China Electric Power Engineering Consulting Corporation (Beijing, China) (3%). The project includes two Chinese-made 600-megawatt supercritical coal-fired units with a flue gas desulphurization device.

Phase II of Zhejiang Huaneng Yuhuan power plant, in Yuhuan County in the Zhejiang Province, will be invested and built by Huaneng Power International Incorporated. (Beijing, China). The project includes two Chinese-made 1,000 MW ultra supercritical coal-fired units with a flue gas desulphurization device at the expansion end of Phase I; one 50,000-metric-ton coal-unloading berth with 388 meters of bank line and an annual design turnover capacity of 4.7 million metric tons will be expanded.

Phase VII of the Yunnan Xuanwei power plant, in Xuanwei City in southwestern China’s Yunnan Province, will be invested and built by Guodian Xuanwei Power Generation Company Limited (Yunnan, China), a subsidiary of China Guodian Corporation (Beijing, China). The project includes two Chinese-made 300 MW subcritical coal-fired units with a flue gas desulphurization device at the expansion end of Phase VI.
