Baosteel recently agreed to construct $338 million, 300,000-tons-per-year of high-grade silicon steel production lines in Shanghai. Baosteel will remove the existing medium- and low-grade non-oriented silicon steel line, and build a high-grade non-oriented silicon steel line and related production line. Construction is slated to begin in 2020 and to be completed within two years.
