Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--China's overall power generation totaled 686 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in June, a 7.4% increase from June 2020 and a 14.5% increase from June 2019, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics. From January to June 2021, China's power generation output totaled 3,871.7 billion kWh, a 13.7% increase from the same period last year, and a 12.1% increase from the same period in 2019.
China's output from thermal power, nuclear power, wind power and solar power slowed in June 2021 when compared with June 2020, while output from hydropower declined. Thermal power grew 10.1%, solar power grew 12.5%, wind power grew 12.4% and nuclear power grew 12.9%, while hydropower fell 5.6%.
