Dr Pepper Snapple to Begin Construction on $120 Million Bottling Facility in California

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Dr Pepper Snapple Group Incorporated (NYSE:DPS) (Plano, Texas) is gearing up to begin site preparation this month for a bottling and distribution facility in Victorville, California. The plant will consist of an 850,000-square-foot building on 57 acres, including 550,000 square feet of warehouse space, and a 300,000-square-foot manufacturing plant with up to six manufacturing lines. The project schedule calls for construction to be complete in early 2010. Once fully operational, the plant will have the capacity to produce as many as 40 million cases per year of products, including a variety of soft drinks, juices, juice drinks, ready-to-drink teas, energy drinks and other premium beverages.

The company has selected The Benham Companies (St. Louis, Missouri) to provide engineering and construction management for the new Western manufacturing and distribution hub.

Dr Pepper Snapple Group operates 24 bottling and manufacturing facilities and more than 200 distribution centers across the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
