Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--The feasibility study report of Huadian (Fuqing) Wind Power Company Limited's (Fuzhou, Fujian) Liyushan Windfarm received approval from the expert panel in Fuzhou City on November 21. This marks that Huadian Fuqing Wind Power has achieved an important breakthrough in project development, according to China Huadian New Energy Development Company Limited (Beijing).
Huadian Fuqing Wind Power was established by Huadian New Energy Development in 2009. Construction of its first windfarm, the Niutouwei Windfarm, was officially kicked off in Fuqing in May 2010 and was officially put into operation in January 2011.
The planned Liyushan Windfarm is adjacent to the existing Niutouwei Windfarm in Shapu Town, Fuqing City. The windfarm will have 24 wind turbines, each with a generating capacity of 2 megawatts (MW), and will share the same 110-kilovolt substation with the owner's Niutouwei Windfarm. The project received consent from the Development and Reform Commission of Fujian province to kick off pre-stage preparation in September 2011. Pre-stage preparation was then accelerated in various aspects. The expert panel concluded that the project is a very good project and recommended the owner to complete the related approval procedures and begin construction as soon as possible. According to the planning of Huadian Fuqing Wind Power, the project will begin construction in the beginning of 2012.
In addition to the Liyushan project, the examination meeting for the preliminary feasibility study report of Qingyu and Zhongshengshan wind power projects also was held in Fuzhou on November 18. The Qingyu Windfarm will have eight 3-MW wind turbines n the coastal of Longgao Peninsula; the Zhongshengshan Windfarm will have 24 2-MWwind turbines in Chengtou Town of Fuqing City. Both projects are of good conditions with annual utilization of more than 3,000 hours. According to the planning of Huadian Fuqing Wind Power, these two projects will begin construction in the second half of 2012.
