Alstom Wins Polish CHP Turbine Contract
GALWAY, IRELAND--August 31, 2012 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) Alstom S.A. (ENX:ALO) (Paris, France) has secured a 4 million ($5 million) contract to upgrade a steam turbine at Europe's second largest combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Poland.
The French engineering company will start work on the modernisation of a UK-50 type steam turbine at the Siekierki combined heat and power plant, which is located near the south of country's capital Warsaw, and is owned by PGNiG TERMIKA SA (Warsaw, Poland).
