BP Makes New North Sea Oil Find
GALWAY, IRELAND--November 3, 2014 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) The North Sea is proving that there's still life in the old dog yet after BP plc (NYSE:BP) (London, England) announced the discovery of a new oil find that could yield a potential 50 million barrels of oil a year.
The company, alongside French partner GDF Suez S.A. (EPA:GSZ) (Paris, France), revealed that the discovery in the U.K. Central North Sea spans the GDF Suez operated block 30/1f (licence P1588) and BP operated block 30/1c (licence P363)
