Port Arthur Plans on $12.9 Billion in Industrial Projects
SUGAR LAND--December 2, 2016--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Earlier this week, Sempra Energy (NYSE:SRE) (San Diego, California) applied to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for permission to site, construct and operate its $7 billion liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility on the Sabine-Neches Waterway in Port Arthur, Texas. The project would consist of two natural gas liquefaction trains that could produce up to 13.5 million metric tons of LNG per year. While Sempra's LNG facility is the largest facility planned for Port Arthur, it is one of several projects with an aggregate value of $12.9 billion that are planned for construction the southeast Texas city.
