May 15, 2023--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Energy construction services company Aecon Group Incorporated (Toronto, Ontario) is racking up more contracts in 2023 for work on some of North America's most closely watched nuclear power projects, with additional work set for natural gas and renewable-based developments. Recent growth has been driven largely by refurbishment-related work in Ontario and the U.S.

Industrial Info is tracking more than US$16.5 billion worth of active projects involving Aecon's services, more than US$13.5 billion of which is attributed to projects overseen by Ontario's Ministry of Energy. Shoreline Power Group, a joint venture among Aecon, SNC-Lavalin Group Incorporated (Montreal, Quebec) and United Engineers & Constructors Incorporated (Kincardine, Ontario), in which Aecon is the lead partner, has been awarded a major contract for the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station in Tiverton, Ontario.
