CPS Energy Cuts Risks with Gas Power, Renewables and Efficiency Programs

SUGAR LAND--January 21, 2014--Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--A 200-megawatt (MW) power purchase agreement (PPA) between CPS Energy (San Antonio, Texas) and the Summit Power Group (Seattle, Washington), the developers of an integrated gasification combined-cycle (IGCC) generator near Odessa, Texas, expired at the end of 2013 after the project failed to reach its contracted milestones.
