Exelon to Close Last Three Mile Island Reactor in September - U.S. energy company Exelon Corporation (NYSE:EXC) said Wednesday it will shut the last reactor at the Three Mile Island power plant on September 30 due to legislative inaction on a nuclear subsidy bill in Pennsylvania. SoCalGas Raises Aliso Gas Leak Cost - Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) raised the estimated cost of the massive leak at its Aliso Canyon natural gas storage facility in Los Angeles between October 2015 and February 2016 to $1.071 billion as of March 31. That is up about 1.5% from SoCalGas' $1.055 billion estimate at the end of its fourth quarter, the company said on Tuesday in a report on first-quarter results. (Plant 1015767) (Reuters)

U.S. Crude Inventories Fall - U.S. crude oil inventories declined 4 million barrels for the week ending May 3, which boosted oil futures on Wednesday. Net U.S. crude imports fell 432,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) to 4.4 million BBL/d, and crude production edged down 100,000 BBL/d to 12.2 million BBL/d. (Reuters)
