Summary
Geopark is on track to triple its Argentina production by year-end with new output coming online as five new wells at the Loma Jarillosa Este block are completed and brought online.Triple Production
Geopark, a Latin American energy company, said it is on track to triple its hydrocarbon production from its Argentine assets by the end of 2026, with further volume growth over the next three years. The company averaged volumes of 1,400 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) throughout Q2 in Argentina. Geopark expects to complete hydraulic fracturing of five wells at Loma Jarillosa Este during the third quarter, followed by production startup, supporting its plan to triple Argentina production by year-end.
Geopark entered into agreements with Pan American Energy for crude oil processing and export services covering certain volumes from the Loma Jarillosa Este and Puesto Silva Oeste blocks. The agreements are valid through December 31, 2027, with the possibility to extend it.
The agreement secures midstream capacity to evacuate the assets' production through Puerto Rosales and Punta Colorada export terminals.
The blocks contain more than 60 million gross barrels of estimated recoverable oil resources and were acquired in October 2025 from Pluspetrol for US$115 million.
Geopark holds a 100% working interest in Loma Jarillosa Este and a 95% interest in Puesto Silva Oeste block.
The Latin American company signed a three-year agreement with Helmerich & Payne to deploy a dedicated drilling rig and associated drilling services for the two oil blocks.
Geopark, in partnership with Gas y Petroleo de Neuquen, submitted an application to Argentina's Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI), in May 2026 for an integrated Vaca Muerta oil-hub project worth more than US$1 billion in investments.
The project seeks to increase production from 1,500 boed to 20,000 boed over the next three years, and includes a central processing facility at Puesto Silva Oeste.
The company is still waiting for a final government resolution on its RIGI application. However, the government has so far approved more than a dozen projects under RIGI, including upstream and midstream projects in Vaca Muerta.
Colombian Operations
Geopark's main operations are in Colombia, accounting for more than 90% of its production base during Q2. Throughout the quarter, the company's consolidated production reached 27,271 boed, including almost 26,000 from Colombia, driven by the Llanos 34 block, which had an output of nearly 16,000 boed.In addition, the company holds interests in the CPO-5, Llanos 123 and Platanillo blocks in Colombia.
While Colombia remains Geopark's core production geography, the company's expansion in Argentina's Vaca Muerta represents a growth engine, allowing it to considerably boost volumes in the next three years.
