There were seven new wells drilled in the Gulf of Mexico in April. This is down from 21 new wells in March, and 27 new wells in April 2018. Shell Offshore led last month with two new development wells at Auger PLT Platform and Perdido Spar. Other new development wells included Anadarko Petroleum at Holstein Spar; Arena Offshore at EI-341-A Platform; Cantium at GI-37-R Platform; and EnVen Energy Ventures at the Lobster Platform. Also, there was one exploration well by Chevron U.S.A. at the Jack/St. Malo Platform.
