Japan's Idemitsu Kosan to Close Refinery

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Idemitsu Kosan Company Limited (Tokyo, Japan) has decided to close refining units at its Yamaguchi Refinery in Japan permanently in March 2024. The plant will be converted to a terminal for hydrogen and ammonia to help keep up with new energy trends. The facility began operating in 1969.
