Ohio Regulator Clears EDF to Construct 220-MW Solar Plant
- A unit of French electric utility Electricite de France (EDF) (Paris, France) has obtained clearance from the Ohio Power Siting Board for a utility-scale solar project of up to 220 megawatts (MW). The Eastern Cottontail Solar Project in Fairfield County will be capable of powering 42,000 local homes upon commissioning. ATCO Receives Regulatory Nod for Yellowhead Pipeline Project
- Energy infrastructure developer ATCO (Calgary, Alberta) said on Friday it has received approval from the Alberta Utilities Commission on its needs-assessment application for the Yellowhead Pipeline Project. The Yellowhead Pipeline Project, spanning more than 142 miles from the Peers area to Fort Saskatchewan in Alberta is expected to deliver more than 1.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day. DOE Grants Lakes Charles LNG More Time to Start Exports
- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) said on Friday it had granted Energy Transfer LP (Dallas, Texas) additional time to start exports from the Lake Charles LNG liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in Louisiana under its non-Free Trade Agreement export permit. Energy Transfer has announced it is aiming for a final investment decision on the project by the end of this year.
