Metso Minerals, a subsidiary of Metso, will merge with Outotec to form a process-technology and equipment company. Metso and Outotec are involved in numerous projects servicing the Metals & Minerals Industry. The deal is expected to close by the second quarter of 2020.
Metso Minerals is supplying comminution equipment for Fortescue Metals Group Limited's $1.7 billion Eliwana iron ore mine. Outotec is designing the copper concentrator and hydrometallurgical plant for the massive Udokan project in Russia.
