U.S. Hits Highest LNG Exports Ever in August - U.S. exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) reached an all-time high in August as plants exited planned maintenance programs and Venture Global LNG's (Arlington, Virginia) Plaquemines facility continued to increase output, preliminary data from financial firm LSEG show. August exports totaled 9.33 million metric tons, beating the previous monthly record set in April of 9.25 million tons and higher than the 9.1 million tons exported in July, according to LSEG data. U.K. Extends Life of Two Nuclear Power Plants - British Gas owner Centrica (Windsor, England) said on Tuesday the life of two nuclear power stations in the U.K., in which it has a 20% share, has been extended until 2028. Heysham 1 and Hartlepool power stations, which are operated by French state-owned utility EDF, are now expected to generate electricity until March 2028, Centrica said. Plains All American to Buy EPIC Crude Stake for $1.6 Billion - Plains All American Pipeline LP (Houston, Texas) said on Tuesday it would buy a 55% stake in pipeline operator EPIC Crude Holdings (San Antonio, Texas) from units of Diamondback Energy Incorporated (Midland, Texas) and Kinetik Holdings (Midland) for $1.57 billion, including $600 million in debt.
