Sonatrach and Total's joint venture STEP (Sonatrach Total Enterprise Polymères) recently selected LyondellBasell's Spheripol technology for its 1.2 billion-pound-per-year polypropylene unit in Algeria. Honeywell UOP C3 Oleflex is the official technology licensor. Honeywell UOP will perform basic engineering works. The project is worth approximately $2.5 billion.
