Five companies have pulled non-essential personnel off offshore oil production platforms due to Tropical Storm Cristobal. BP, Shell, Murphy Oil, Occidental, and Equinor have begun a measured evacuation of the rigs. BP has shut-in Thunder Horse, Na Kika, and Atlantis production. The path of Cristobal is expected to travel due north into the Gulf of Mexico and make landfall in Louisiana during late Sunday night to early Monday morning.
