Three Indonesian geothermal power plant projects with a total capacity of 140 megawatts (MW) failed to reach commercial operations this year due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and technical issues.
These include the 90-MW Rantau Dedap Geothermal Power Plant in the Muara Enim Regency, the 45-MW Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power Station Unit 2 and the 5-MW Sokoria Geothermal Power Station Unit 1.
