SUGAR LAND--April 7, 2022--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects U.S. ethane consumption to average 2.1 million barrels per day (BBL/d) in both 2022 and 2023, driven by higher demand by the petrochemicals sector. Having grown every year since 2010, more of the petroleum product is consumed in the country than either jet fuel or propane, according to the EIA's Wednesday Today in Energy report.
