France

Attachment: France Refining Strikes 040523

April 4, 2023--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--France has been rocked by protests over the past few weeks, much of it driven by President Emmanuel Macron's proposed overhaul of the nation's pension system. Unions representing workers ranging from garbage collectors to railway ticket-takers are planning for rolling strikes, and those in the Petroleum Refining Industry are not sitting it out. A coalition of labor unions is calling for a nationwide day of strikes on April 6.

Industrial Info has details on some of the latest developments, including the status of refineries owned by Petroineos France SAS; Total Refining & Chemicals, a subsidiary of TotalEnergies (NYSE:TTE); and Esso Raffinage SAF, a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM).
