NV Energy Makes PPA with One of Many Upcoming Solar Plants in Nevada

June 10, 2024--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Nevada utility NV Energy (Las Vegas) has been steadily signing power purchase agreements (PPAs) with solar developers in its home state. And Nevada certainly doesn't lack potential solar projects: Industrial Info is tracking more than 100 active solar projects in the state valued at nearly $110 billion. The vast majority of these projects have been designated by IIR as having a low probability (0-69%) of moving forward as planned, meaning that many of them won't make it off the planning table. However, NV Energy's latest PPA with renewable energy developer Arevia Power (Glendale, California) puts one of that company's projects a step closer to actually turning dirt.
