(OTC:NSRGY ) (Vevey, Switzerland), has decided not to carry on with its project to build a bottled-water-processing plant in Orwell, New York. According to a company official, the Oswego County site wasn't ideal as a primary source of water. The company is now considering other sites in the area.
It was reported that Nestle purchased a 450-acre farm in Oswego where it planned to construct the 1.5 million-gallon-a-day plant. Construction for the $100 million facility was scheduled to start in spring 2009 and be fully operational a year later.
