Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--To help decrease its carbon footprint, Brazilian pulp and paper company CMPC Celulose Rio Grandense has formed an engineering team aimed at the development of environmentally focused projects at one of its plants.

The company will install a monitoring center that will measure and present data on air quality at the company's Guaiba plant, providing real-time information to the monitoring and control process that is already carried out today. The system will help reduce emissions and water use in industrial processes and effluent treatment. Construction is expected to kick off in 2022, and completion is expected in late 2023.
