Japan Home to Planned Crude Distillation Unit Maintenance in 2024

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--ENEOS Corporation (Tokyo, Japan), Cosmo Oil Company Limited (Tokyo) and Idemitsu Kosan Company Limited (Tokyo) are planning crude distillation unit (CDU) maintenance shutdowns in 2024. Four out of their five maintenance shutdowns are planned for the second quarter.

Taiyo Oil Company Limited's (Tokyo) Shikoku Refinery was found to have an inspection violation in March 2022, so the plant needs to shut down all units, including 2 CDUs, and perform inspections/maintenance until the plant gets the certification permission. The company did not get the certification in 2023, so shutdown maintenance is expected in 2024.
