Kinh Ngu Trang Field Development Nears Key Milestone

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The offshore Kinh Ngu Trang oilfield development, led by PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (Hanoi, Vietnam), is steadily advancing as it prepares for load-out.

The project, which began in mid-2023, will feature a central processing platform (CPP) with the capacity to produce 26,000 barrels of crude oil per day through 16 slots and nine exploitation wells. Additionally, a 38.8-kilometer (24-mile) pipeline will connect the Kinh Ngu Trang field to the MSP field in the Cuu Long Basin.

The project is on track for completion by mid-2025 and is expected to significantly enhance oil production in the region, marking another step in Vietnam's energy development efforts.
