Apache Starts Up Permian Gas Processing Facility - Apache Corporation's (NYSE:APA) Altus Midstream Company said it opened its new Diamond natural gas processing plant in the Permian Basin to treat its production of natural gas and natural gas liquids. The announcement comes after Apache said in April it was dramatically cutting back on its natural gas production in the Permian Basin for now because of steep pricing discounts caused by pipeline and processing plant shortages in the region.
