ExxonMobil, on October 31, experienced an unplanned shutdown of the 90,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) 2 at its 557,000-BBL/d Baytown, Texas, refinery.

International
Saudi Aramco has delayed the commercial operations of the 54,500-BBL/d Hydrocracker 1 and 54,500-BBL/d Hydrocracker 2 at its 400,000-BBL/d Jazan Refinery in Saudi Arabia. The units now are tentatively expected to start operations by November 30.

Esso Raffinage SAF continues with restart procedures at its 240,000-BBL/d Port-Jerome Gravenchon and 140,000-BBL/d Fos-sur-Mer refineries in France now that strike action has ended following an agreement between unions and management. Both refineries are expected to operate at full capacity in early November.

Indeni Petroleum Refinery Company has delayed the restart of the 24,000-BBL/d (actual capacity: 12,000 BBL/d) Bwanamkubwa Refinery in Zambia. The refinery was forced to shut down in November 2021 on instructions from the government due to inefficient operations and high product cost. The units now are tentatively expected to restart by May 2023.
