Calcasieu Refining is looking to restart its 135,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) refinery in Lake Charles, Louisiana, around Labor Day weekend. The refinery remains offline after being forced to shut down following a naphtha tank fire and explosion caused by a lightning strike on June 3, and the same tank igniting again on June 17 during the dismantling process.

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), on August 15, began a 45-day planned turnaround of the 60,000-BBL/d Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) 3, 27,000-BBL/d Vacuum Distillation Unit (VDU) 3 and 11,200-BBL/d Kero/ATF Merox 3 Unit at its 300,000-BBL/d Mangalore Refinery in India. Expectations are to restart the units by September 28.
