Freeport LNG restarted Train 3 at its three-train, 15.3 million-ton-per-annum (MTPA) liquefied natural gas (LNG) liquefaction plant in Texas. The train was removed from service to inspect and replace the 75-megawatt (MW) electric motors from General Electric that each drive a Baker Hughes centrifugal compressor which experienced technical issues caused by Winter Storm Heather. Freeport LNG will now perform inspections and repairs/replacements as needed on Trains 1 and 2 and currently anticipates all work will be complete in May, with full normal operations resuming in June.
PBF Energy, on April 19, plans to begin a four-week planned maintenance turnaround of the 45,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Diesel HT, Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU) 2 and SRU 3 units at its 165,000-BBL/d refinery in Paulsboro, New Jersey.
