Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--A consortium of PT Pace Energy (a subsidiary of Total Eren) (Paris, France) and PT Adaro Power (South Kalimantan, Indonesia) has won the tender to develop the Tanah Laut Wind Power Plant in South Kalimantan, which is located in Borneo.
The consortium was selected after providing the lowest electricity offer per kilowatt-hour (kWh) to PT PLN (Persero) (Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta, Indonesia). The collaboration was marked by the signing of a letter of intent in Bali, Indonesia, during the meeting of the Group of Twenty (G20) on November 15-16.
The 70-megawatt (MW) windfarm will be equipped with a 10-MW battery energy storage system (BESS) to strengthen the supply of electricity in the Kalimantan interconnection system.
The Tanah Laut windfarm will encourage PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (South Jakarta, Indonesia) to continue transforming and growing into a more environmental-friendly company.
