Viper Energy Grows Permian Presence in Sitio Deal - Viper Energy ((Midland, Texas) will buy Sitio Royalties (Denver, Colorado) in an all-stock deal valued at about $4.1 billion, the companies said on Tuesday, expanding the Diamondback Energy Incorporated (Midland, Texas) unit's presence across oil-rich shale regions such as the Permian Basin. Diamondback operates Viper to primarily acquire oil and natural gas properties in North America. (Reuters)

Shell to Proceed with Trinidad and Tobago Offshore Gas Project - Shell plc (London, England) has made a positive final investment decision on its Aphrodite gas project offshore Trinidad and Tobago, the company said on Tuesday. The project is expected to produce first gas in 2027 and have a peak production of 18,400 barrels of oil equivalent per day, it added in a release. (Reuters)

BP to Boost Production from Azerbaijan Caspian Sea Projects - Developers led by BP (London, England) made a final decision to invest US$2.9 billion in expanding output from the Shah Deniz gas field in the Azeri Caspian Sea offshore Azerbaijan, BP said on Tuesday. Last year, Shah Deniz produced 28 billion standard cubic meters of gas and around 35 million barrels of condensate, said BP, which owns around 29.9% of the project and operates it.
