Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Korean automotive supplier Dongwon Autopart Technology, a subsidiary of Dongwon Metal Company Limited (SEO:018500) (Gyeongsan, Gyeonsanbuk), has started site preparation for a $30 million automotive stamping plant in Hogansville, Georgia, that will serve the KIA Motors manufacturing plant under construction in West Point, Georgia.
West Georgia D & D Construction Company (LaGrange, Georgia) was selected to perform site work for the stamping plant, and Shannon, Strobel & Weaver Constructors & Engineers Incorporated (Auburn, Alabama) was chosen to construct the plant's building.
Dongwon Autopart Technology was founded in 1971. Dongwon Metal specializes in pipes, automotive parts and the high-tech mechanical industry for Korea's automotive industry. The company has facilities in the United States, Europe and Asia.
