Nacel Energy Announces Construction of 700 Megawatts of Wind Projects

Researched by Industrial Information Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Nacel Energy Corporation (OTC:NCEN) (Denver, Colorado) has announced plans to begin five wind-power projects in Texas with a total capacity of 90 megawatts (MW) and another project in Arizona with a capacity of 10 MW. Nacel is developing individual windfarms with capacities ranging from 10 MW to 20 MW in order to make finding tie-ins to the grid easier. In addition to these projects, Nacel is also looking at sites for windfarms in Kansas and Illinois.

On the international front, Nacel, with developer Ridge Partners LLC (Burr Ridge, Illinois), is in the process of reviewing and analyzing the estimated $1.2 billion, 600-MW multi-phase expansion of the company's Nacel Ridge Windfarm in San Fernando de Monte Christi, Dominican Republic.

The following announced projects in Texas and Arizona are expected to come online in 2010 and 2011 and will cost a total of $180 million to $200 million to build:
