SUGAR LAND--September 20, 2011--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The flat plains of Kansas and Nebraska are known for being windy. Now, these states are poised to take advantage of this valuable resource and increase renewable energy generation capacities. Currently, the two states have a combined renewable generation capacity of 1,445 megawatts (MW): 1,320 MW of wind, 113 MW of hydroelectric, and 12 MW of landfill gas-fired projects.
