Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--The grinding mill jointly developed by Hefei Cement Research & Design Institute (HCRDI) (Hefei, Anhui) and Sinoma (Hefei) Power Technical Equipment Company Limited, two subsidiaries of China National Building Materials Group Corporation (Sinoma Group) (Beijing), for Xinjiang Qingsong Building Materials & Chemicals (Group) Company Limited's (Akesu, Xinjiang) 6,000-metric-ton-per-day cement clinker production line was put into operation recently in Artux, Xinjiang autonomous region, according to an announcement from Sinoma Group on November 12, 2012.
As reported, the grinding mill comprises of two sets of HFCG180-160 roller presses, with an open-circuit cement grinding system that is 14.5 meter longs and 4.6 meters in diameter. A three-day continuous performance test was jointly performed by the project owner and the general contractor in October 2012. The test result showed that the output of the system reached 356 metric tons per hour, under a specific surface area of 358 square meters per kilogram, for the production of PO42.5# cement. The system power consumption was 28.43 kilowatt-hours per metric ton. For the production of PO32.5# cement, the output of the system reached 383 metric tons per hour under a specific surface area of 364 square meters per kilogram, and the system power consumption was 25.75 kilowatt-hours per metric ton.
The commissioning of the production line means that the world's largest single cement grinding system has been put into operation, and various technical indicators of the system are at an advanced level.
Artux Qingsong Cement Plant is an old cement plant. A 2,500-ton-per-day new dry type of cement production was built in 2008. In June 2011, HCRDI won the engineering, procurement and construction contract for the construction of an additional 6,000-ton-per-day cement clinker production in the existing plant area from Xinjiang Qingsong Building Materials & Chemicals (Group) Company Limited (Akesu, Xinjiang), the parent company of Kezhou Qingsong Cement. Construction of the project kicked off in July 2011.
As a key national research and development program, the successful application of the system provides a good example for the technical renovation of an old grinding mill combined with a small-sized roller press and ball mill.
