IIR's turnaround coverage originates from our internal direct research methodology utilizing staff across the world to verify current and future unit turnarounds to identify offline capacity. These events can come from maintenance downtime, unplanned outages due to equipment failure, weather related or economic conditions that will cause the refinery to bring units offline.

For the energy market, IIR's focus is primarily on units that impact product output or feedstock utilization. Unit turnarounds include all major processing units such as Crude Distillation Units (CDUs), Fluid Catalytic Cracking Units (FCCUs), Alkylation Units, Reformers, Cokers, Hydrotreaters and all other primary and secondary units within the refining process, including ethylene production units.

Our research methodology ensures more accurate, current and timely intelligence on planned and unplanned turnarounds that allow users to predict and react to market interruptions.
