China's Sinopec, Shenma to Jointly Construct 1 Million-Ton Ethylene Project

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--On December 22, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) (Beijing) signed an investment cooperation intention agreement with Henan Shenma Guoxing Industry Investment to establish a joint venture company and construct a 1-million-ton ethylene project in Luoyang.

The combined US$3.4 billion ethylene project entails constructing 13 chemical production units, such as ethylene, aromatics, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) and polypropylene (PP).
